Along the Mississippi River<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ever heard of Mud Island? Well, to get there you\u2019ll need to ride the monorail (only a couple of dollars). Once there, you can visit the Mississippi River Museum, walk the length of the river itself (Big River Crossing pedestrian bridge), catch a show at the Mud Island Amphitheatre, or even take a riverboat ride. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now, for something really different, visit The Pyramid (sorry, no mummies here). To get there, you\u2019ll first have to ride the country\u2019s tallest free-standing elevator up 28 stories (300 feet). Considering the structure is glass on all sides, you\u2019re guaranteed some spectacular views. Once at the top, you\u2019ll be in the Lookout, an out-of-this-world restaurant and bar. Head outside to the glass-bottomed observation decks where you\u2019ll get the best 360-degree view of Memphis.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Graceland<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Whether you\u2019re an Elvis fan or not, this is a must-see attraction for both locals and out-of-towners. Explore this mansion tour and learn all about the hip rocking, superstar entertainer. You will find yourself immersed in Elvis\u2019 car and airplane collections, his ponies, his show-stopping outfits, and so much more. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Finally, at the gates to Graceland, grab a marker and leave your mark (literally) on the sidewalk, stone wall, and other surfaces surrounding the property (don\u2019t worry, it\u2019s legal!). Fans have been doing this Elvis was still living at the mansion. It\u2019s a tried and true tradition!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Tired of seeing how the rich and famous live? Take a trip over to Beale Street and snap a photo with one immortalized in stone (bronze) instead! The bronze statue of Elvis was erected on Beale Street in 1997. Channel your inner Elvis and nail the stance for a truly memorable pic.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Beale Street<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Beale Street is the<\/em> place to visit for music lovers. The Memphis Rock \u2018N\u2019 Soul Museum is at the corner of B.B. King Blvd and Beale Street and provides a comprehensive journey of rock \u2018n\u2019 roll and soul music. Here you\u2019ll be face-to-face with priceless artifacts and memorabilia. As a side note: Shelby County residents get free admission on Tuesdays from 2-7 p.m.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Ready to keep going? Great! Make sure to stop by one of the many bars and grab yourself a Beale Big A** Beer for the journey. Oh \u2013 and once you\u2019ve downed that chilly and delicious beverage \u2013 grab yourself another one inside A. Schwab. After perusing the gifts, shirts, and other Memphis swag, head to the back of the store and grab yourself an old-timey malt, milkshake, soda, or choose your own adventure!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Feel your stomach rumbling? No worries! You can have the Best Ribs Ever at Blues City Caf\u00e9 or a thin, deep-fried burger at Dyer\u2019s. Beale Street has a plethora of foods to accommodate any and all appetites.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Oddities<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Go mural hunting! Memphis has become a hot spot for mural artists. You can catch amazing artwork almost anywhere in the city. Go on an impromptu scavenger hunt and see how many pictures you can get.
