Mueller Industries, First Horizon, and Sylvamo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nFedEx placed No. 50 overall, holding its position as the region’s only Fortune 100 company. International Paper made one of the biggest moves on the entire list, climbing 50 spots to No. 176 on the strength of its $9.9 billion acquisition of London-based DS Smith. AutoZone landed at No. 229 as revenue grew to $18.94 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The momentum continues down the list. Collierville-based Mueller Industries<\/strong> jumped 49 spots to No. 762 after posting $4.2 billion in net sales, up from $3.8 billion the year before. First Horizon<\/strong> remains the largest Memphis company outside the Fortune 500 at No. 676 with $4.98 billion in revenue, and Sylvamo<\/strong> placed No. 865 at $3.35 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\nAll three of the city’s Fortune 500 companies reported revenue above $18 billion, more than double the $7.5 billion cutoff for the list. Memphis moves the world’s packages, paper, parts, and money, and the numbers say the city is doing it at a scale few American markets can match.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
