The <strong>2025 World Championship Hot Wing Contest &amp; Festival<\/strong> is back for its 23rd year, and it\u2019s taking over <strong>River Garden Park<\/strong> (that\u2019s at the corner of Jefferson and Riverside) on <strong>Saturday, April 26<\/strong> from <strong>11 a.m. to 6 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you\u2019re a die-hard wing aficionado or just someone who loves a good time with good people, this festival has something for you. Over <strong>60 cooking teams<\/strong> will be throwing down their best hot wing recipes\u2014grilling, saucing, and serving up flavors that range from fiery to flavorful. If you want in on the action, all you need is a grill and a registration. (Oh\u2014and a competitive spirit. There\u2019s <strong>$5,000 in cash prizes<\/strong>, trophies, and major bragging rights on the line.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day kicks off in classic Memphis style with a <strong>Second Line Parade<\/strong> led by the <strong>Memphis Second Line Jazz Band<\/strong>, marching festival-goers straight into the park and into the groove. Expect <strong>two stages full of live music<\/strong> throughout the day, featuring local and regional artists who know how to bring the heat\u2014on stage and off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Of course, you can\u2019t forget the <strong>Wing Eating Contest<\/strong>. Watching brave (or just very hungry) folks try to down wings at lightning speed is its own kind of art form. Equal parts entertaining and intense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets are <strong>$15 online<\/strong> and <strong>$25 at the door<\/strong>, with kids <strong>8 and under getting in free<\/strong>. And while you\u2019re enjoying those wings and vibes, know that every bite supports a bigger purpose: the festival raises funds for <strong>Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis<\/strong>, helping families stay close while their children receive treatment at <strong>St. Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital<\/strong>.
