The Beauty Shop

This quirky eatery in the Cooper-Young neighborhood of Midtown Memphis was once actually a beauty shop (where Priscilla Presley got her famous beehive hairdos done). In fact, it still feels like one—hooded Belvedere hair dryers and all. It also serves some really delectable food, whether you’re on a brunch day-date or looking for a fun dinner-and-cocktails spot. The Bloody Mary and eggs Sardou combo is a brunch favorite, and the cast-iron-roasted whole fish with grilled sweet corn, cotija, aioli and cayenne salt is a highlight of the dinner menu.

Acre

Tucked away in East Memphis, Acre is the perfect spot to experience a modern menu that stays true to the chefs’ Southern roots while still giving you a taste of the entire world. Dishes like tuna tartare, duck confit black rice, and braised short ribs are sure to wow even the pickiest of dates!

The Majestic Grille

Located in the heart of Downtown Memphis, The Majestic Grille is a modern American steakhouse with a fun 1940s-inspired ambiance. Built in 1913, the venue served as a silent movie house for many years, and it still hosts classic movies, dance shows, art performances and music to this day. This restaurant has everything you love about your favorite, casual Japanese restaurant and elevates it to a whole new level.
